Established in 2006, Lucela’s mission is to provide high quality natural products to the Hispanic Market. Featuring the finest items with top level service, our extensive experience in Hispanic grocery aids the Lucela team in connecting customers to their roots. Our featured products include piloncillo (Panela) from Columbia, pure and natural mesquite charcoal (Carbon Mesquite)from Mexico and natural honey. Private label options are also available.
With a combined experience of 25 years in Hispanic focused grocery, Lucela offers consulting services as well. Our customers include the largest US retailers, and we offer consulting services in product selection, retail consolidation, schematics, private label and logistics to name a few.
Owners
Lucy Accornero
Lucy Accornero is a bilingual professional with more than 25 years of experience in international logistics, supply chain management, manufacturing and distribution. Lucy created Lucela Inc., along with her husband Hector Mantilla in 2006 to be able to combine her talents for international business, system implementation and customer service. She has worked in countries such as Mexico, Brazil, Colombia, Peru, Holland and Scotland and now enjoys the her diverse customer base in California.
Hector Mantilla
Hector Mantilla started his career at the prestigious Colombian oil company, Ecopetrol in procurement and finance. He left Colombia to become the President of an import/export company in Miami. Upon moving to California to join family, he gained strong knowledge of private label development, grocery procurement, strategic sourcing and contract management with a focus in the Hispanic Market. Hector has put more than 500 products to market through private label programs in the last 25 years. Hector is now able to bring many years of negotiation experience into his company, Lucela Inc., which focuses on key products that are high in quality and value.
